Freedom of voice are being ripped apart piece by piece..

Series of undemocratic incidents that happened lately is a clear indication that the freedom of voice and expression are being torn to shred by those in power.

As we all know, in a month time to come, two Bukits and a Batang seems to be crucial for Barisan Nasional. Having lost 2 previous by elections in K.Terengganu and Permatang Pauh, to lose for the third time in a row is certainly not an option.

So, in order to recapture the two Bukits as well as keeping the Batang, the best thing to do is to restrain 'truth' from reaching out the voters. Massive crackdown in crippling down the opposition campaign started with the :

1) Ban of Harakah and Suara Keadilan for 3 months. The two most influentional alternative sources were denied publication starting 23rd March 2009 and likely to operate as usual by July 2009. I was shocked and sad to hear the news and the democracy lovers likewise. I just don't understand on what basis the act was taken and the reasons given for the cause totally unacceptable.

2) On the same day Harakah and Suara Keadilan were suspended, far away in the north, police force fired tear gas and water cannon to disperse and illegal gathering in Taman Ria,Sg Petani attended by PKR de facto, Anwar Ibrahim. The rally believed to be an illegal one as the organizer failed to get the 'permit'. The questions is what makes the police so arduous to grant a permit ??? In the name democracy every Malaysian are assured by the constitution to hold gatherings.

3) On the night 24th March 2009, Kg.Sungai Tinggi, Trong, were ambushed by hundreds of FRU and police forces. Clad in complete uniform and weapon, they arrived in about 15 red trucks. The presence of hundreds police personnel at every oppositions ceramahs and gatherings is hard to explain while the Barisan Nasional's functions normally left unmonitored. The kampungs' folk whose normally attend at any ceramahs is just to share information not to kill anyone.

4) And for today,28th March 2009, Kedah's State Police prohibit speech at public places in conjunction with the Bukit Selambau by election.

Act of desperadoes. Thats sums up the whole scenario. Newsletter are banned, ceramah were ambushed, so, what other left???

I beleive it would eventually come to a stage where people in UMNO itself will realise how undemocratic this country has become with UMNO/BN in power.UMNO/BN have lots of skeletons in their closets which they cannot possibly sweep under the carpets far too long. Some of those who are loyal to Umno are not by choice but by unspecified deeds that have been bestowed upon them.Malaysia will be in ruins if democracy is not restored fully in quick time. The ball is now in Najib's feet which direction the country is heading.God bless us all!

* He alongside the newly form UMNO leaders are swearing in transforming Umno and the nation to the greater height.

* Will he walk the talk ?? Only time will tell.
