It's over . The Bagan Pinang's electorates finally speak their mind by electing former Menteri Besar TS Mohd Isa Samad as their state assemblyman. The man , who had been criticized as he was made as candidate garnered 8,103 votes where its rival Zulkefly from PAS only managed to get 2,578 votes with majority 5,435 votes.
In a game or match, there could only be one winner and you cannot emerge as victorious all the time. It's time for PAS to do some soul-searching and reflects on what when wrong for them especially the losses of almost half of the votes they received in 2008 general election.
As for TS Isa Samad, this definitely a stepping stone for him to be back into mainstream politics after being banned by UMNO Discipline Bureau for 3 years due to money politic. Maybe Mr. Prime Minister is right, everybody needs a second chance and Isa is one of it.
Isa, as being predicted, told everybody that he hasn't been promised any post in state government if he win the election. The prime target is only one, serving his soul out for the sake of the Bagan Pinang's resident. Many predicted that if Isa win, the duplicate of what happening in Terengganu is bound to repeat itself. Let's just wait and see.
What about post in UMNO's hierarchy? Will he just wait and watch his mates shoot themselves to a more higher position in party? I believe not, he is smelling chances and space to regain his post as UMNO's vice president in next party election.
